#Mobility4Creativity: Working across borders – how and why?

Event date 18/11/2020 • 15:00  −  18/11/2020 • 17:00
Entry FeeFree of charge

The event will focus on challenges of international mobility in a pandemic world. How can artists and cultural professionals be mobile under radically changed circumstances? Why is mobility necessary?

The event will be held in English.

The fact that the pandemic has stepped up to an unimaginable degree, changed forms and practices of mobility significantly. Crossing borders becomes (even more) difficult than in previous times, there are numerous safety requirements and the access to live culture is limited. What could be temporary and innovative solutions, e.g. hybrid or virtual mobility, long-term mobility? How should systemic and technical support (mobility funds, information and consultancy provision) adapt? What kind of mobility experiences will be supported and how? Is mobility still a backbone of international cultural cooperation?

Motovila (SI) and touring artists (DE) will host internationally acclaimed experts – visual artist Danilo Milovanović, dance choreographer Rafaële Giovanola (co-director of CocoonDance) and representatives from On the Move, Marie Le Sourd, and Goethe Institute (iPortunus), Alan Quireyns, to share their thoughts, insights and mobility opportunities in a “new world”.

For artists, cultural professionals, funders and decision makers interested in international mobility.

You can follow the event on Wednesday, 18 November 2020, from 15:00 to 17:00 CET, by joining the Zoom webinar. The event will be held in English.

Online REGISTRATION is open until 17 November by 17:00 CET.
